My passion for Solo Travel

When I learned that a indie pop fairytale musical was in previews Off Broadway in New York City, my immediate thought was nightcation! I nabbed a seat for “The Wildness” at Ars Nova on W 54th Street. 

I was intrigued when the cast appeared early on stage. Their costumes were beautifully bizarre. One member asked me if I'd like to volunteer to be a part of the show. I replied “yes” and off I went backstage for a briefing.

Underground Adventure

I am always on the lookout for new adventures. I've learned that stepping out of my comfort zone is where magic and happiness thrive.

In the company of 4,000 participants meeting up at 4 locations in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn, I selected the right “equipment” and then headed to the East Village meeting point.

Finding Wonderland

I will forever view garden centers differently thanks to a recent visit discovering treasures amongst the plants and flowers. After a few surprises, I was on the look out for art tucked into nooks and crannies.

As my curiosity grew, my pace slowed and the garden transformed into a wonderland.  I was absorbed with the environment, the artistic process and engaged with others explorers. 

I reached a travel "sweet spot" where time stood still and joy blossomed.
